Excel File Input FAQ:
When should I use Type 1? -Type 1 is best for projects in which participants are forced to sort according to the q-sort design pattern. This format makes it easy to transfer data from hand-written notes or images of participant q-sorts. (Link to Excel Type 1 Guide).
When should I use Type 2? -If your project includes participants that did not follow the q-sort pattern (unforced sorts), use the type Type 2 format (Link to Excel Type 2 Guide). In this format, participant Q-sorts are organized according to statement number.
Can I continue a previous Ken-Q Analysis session using Type 3 data? -No, The Excel Type 3 format (Link to Excel Type 3 Guide) is for re-loading data used during a previous Ken-Q Analysis session. It does not allow the continuation of a previous analysis. It only loads the original statements and Q-sort data.
